About The Position

A leader in the plastics industry is seeking a hands-on, dependable Warehouse Production Assistant to join a small, close-knit Houston team that builds commercial and residential skylights from start to finish. The company will train someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants to learn a trade. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, with overtime as needed. The role is full-time and offers benefits.

Requirements

Power tool experience is required.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Comfort using a tape measure and performing basic shop math.
At least 18 years old and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Dependability and excellent attendance.
Detail-oriented approach to ensure skylights fit correctly and do not leak.

Nice To Haves

Experience with fabrication, carpentry, sheet metal, glazing, or plastics.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Cut, form, and assemble acrylic and polycarbonate skylight components.
Assemble and fasten skylight frames using power and hand tools.
Read measurements and work orders to build products to specification.
Inspect finished units for quality before shipment.
Package, label, and load finished skylights for customer orders and will-call pickups.
Keep the workstation, tools, and shop clean and organized.
Support the team as needed; everyone contributes on the three-person crew.
