Warehouse Package Handler
About The Position
OnTrac is hiring a Package Handler to support warehouse operations at 350 N Wolf Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. Package Handlers contribute to the smooth functioning of the warehouse by handling and sorting packages, loading delivery trucks, and following safety protocols to help maintain a productive and secure work environment. The role requires staying on your feet, working in seasonal heat and cold, and regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, or moving packages averaging 50 pounds and occasionally weighing up to 75 pounds. The listed shift hours are 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM or until the end of sort. Available workweek schedules include Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, Wednesday–Sunday, Thursday–Monday, Friday–Tuesday, and Saturday–Wednesday. Hours may vary based on business needs. “End of Sort” means completion of all required sort work for the day and clean-up activities, as directed by site management. The position pays $18.75 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stay on your feet while working.
- Ability to work in warehouse heat and cold as temperatures vary by season.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety practices; safety is identified as the company's first core value.
- Unload trailers and sort packages by ZIP code.
- Load trucks for deliveries.
- Work cooperatively as part of the team to complete the job.
