About The Position

This role is responsible for completing customer orders by selecting products from warehouse racks and assembling, palletizing, and/or shrink-wrapping products and pallets. The Order Selector may operate powered industrial equipment and work in dry or cooled product areas, including refrigerated and freezer compartments. The role is based at 2120 Falls Mills Road, Bluefield, Virginia 24605, with a starting rate of $19.50 per hour.

Employees select specified quantities of grocery and related products for delivery using order sheets or an audio headset, while following safety procedures and production standards. The job involves work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity, moderate-to-high noise, and shifts of 8–10 hours as assigned. Weekend, holiday, day, night, and overtime work may be required. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• Perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
• Work in assigned multi-temperature areas, including freezer, cooler, and dry conditions.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Work weekends, holidays, day and night hours, and overtime as assigned, and work assigned shifts of 8–10 hours.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select specified quantities of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork, and related products using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets for customer orders.
• Assemble, palletize, and/or shrink-wrap products and pallets.
• Operate powered industrial equipment, such as single and double pallet jacks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including inspecting powered industrial equipment with a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock or low-volume products.
• Use proper wrapping techniques to protect products from damage.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
