About The Position

GEODIS is hiring a Warehouse Operator to move, sort, assemble, and prepare products for shipment in a warehouse environment. The role uses an electric pallet jack or other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials. The position requires following work orders and customer pick sheets, meeting product and quantity requirements, and adhering to safety regulations while operating equipment. The listed duties are considered essential functions and may be performed with reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of 3 to 6 months of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to learn the proper operation of warehouse equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine which items to move, gather, or distribute.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of products are loaded.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock, stage orders, and convey them to the packing station or shipping department according to the order or customer pick sheet.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using an electric pallet jack or other power equipment.
