Warehouse Operator - Electric Pallet Jack
About The Position
GEODIS is a global third-party logistics provider that supports the movement of goods and supply chains for brands and manufacturers. The Warehouse Operator moves, sorts, stages, and prepares products for shipment using an electric pallet jack or other power equipment. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Employees may read production schedules and order documents to identify items to move, gather, or distribute; prepare accurate customer shipments; organize items in designated storage locations; assemble and stage customer orders; and load, unload, move, stack, and stage products. The position requires warehouse experience or training, the ability to follow equipment safety regulations, and the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Requirements
- High school education or GED equivalency.
- Minimum 3 to 6 months of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to learn proper operations of warehouse equipment.

- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of product are loaded.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assemble customer orders from stock, stage orders, and/or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department according to an order-handling or customer pick sheet.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using an electric pallet jack or other power equipment.
