About The Position

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations, including warehouse equipment and products, and for ensuring assigned work is accurate and timely to achieve and maintain world-class quality. The role performs work safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and the Customer 1st strategy. It provides leadership consistent with Kroger Manufacturing’s High Performance Work System principles and demonstrates the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The operator safely operates and maintains assigned machines, equipment, warehouse vehicles, and hand tools; monitors product quality; follows warehouse standard work and safety procedures; and helps plan, oversee, and carry out warehouse operations. The role also supports equipment maintenance, completes required safety observations and documentation, maintains a clean work area, participates in Total Process Control activities, and follows food safety and quality programs. Regular and predictable attendance is required, with overtime as needed.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
Ability to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Previous food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Safely and effectively operate and maintain assigned machines and related equipment to ensure daily orders are met.
Follow safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
Monitor products to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
Read and follow standard work for warehouse policies.
Safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles and use hand tools.
Arrange for maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment when needed.
Complete safety observations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Verify proper components are at the workstation before beginning a job.
Complete required paperwork and documentation clearly and legibly.
Complete the position’s “If down, do” list when conditions warrant.
Actively participate in Total Process Control activities.
Plan, oversee, and participate in warehouse operations and activities.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work overtime as needed.
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company requirements.
Be accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
Perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
