About The Position

The Warehouse Operator is a member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s Purina Animal Nutrition warehousing team, performing front-line warehouse processes that support successful delivery of final products. The role coordinates inbound and outbound deliveries, prepares and loads final products using a forklift, assists with cycle counts, and organizes warehouse areas. The operator uses a forklift daily and operates other plant machinery and equipment as needed. This position is in a union facility and is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The position pays $27.35 per hour, plus a $0.80-per-hour shift differential. The scheduled second shift is 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekends, overtime, and holidays may be required as needed, and hours are subject to business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of warehousing experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn new skills, solve problems, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, and consistently respectful conduct.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to perform frequent active movements, including walking, standing, bending or stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work for extended periods in cold and/or hot temperature zones, potentially in areas where dust and chemicals are present.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of warehousing work experience.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety processes and promote safe practices for self and others.
• Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Process work orders by selecting the correct products from racks, palletizing and shrink-wrapping them, and staging orders for delivery.
• Manage multiple tasks and keep pace with warehouse demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow all standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Obtain and maintain successful forklift certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
