The Warehouse Operator position involves preparing items for shipment, determining shipment methods, and maintaining records. This role requires knowledge of shipping methods and procedures, the ability to package securely, track detailed information, and operate a lift truck or pallet jack.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1-2 yrs experience in warehouse environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Capable to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Familiarity with packing and shipping methods and processes
  • Experience operating a forklift, RF Scan Gun, bin dumper and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to learn specialized software (NAV) related to departmental operations including shipping/tracking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Forklift Certified

  • Must be a team player and self- motivated
  • Knowledge of lot numbering system a plus, but will train
  • Ability to multi-task between assignments and prioritize workload

Responsibilities

  • Physically prepares and ships outbound customer orders within the distribution/ warehouse environment.
  • Verifies product accuracy and count prior to finalization.
  • Ships finished goods damage free and receive the incoming raw, printed and packaging materials.
  • Prepares and affixes proper shipping labels on finished goods when needed.
  • Systematically processes customer orders using ERP/NAV systems as well as various carrier-provided external software programs to complete shipments.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, and weighs or measures items to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
  • Inspects all incoming shipments or loads assuring no insect or rodent activity and damage free.
  • Operate lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping platform to storage or work area.
  • Check to assist plant and elevator operations on a daily basis, time or season permitting.
  • Maintains a clean warehouse and storage area following tasks assigned in Master Sanitation schedule.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
