Warehouse Operator
About The Position
As a Warehouse Operator at Land O’Lakes, Inc., you will be an integral part of the warehousing team, responsible for front-line processes that ensure the successful delivery of final products. This role involves coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, packing and loading products using a forklift, assisting with cycle counts, and maintaining organization within the warehouse. You will operate a forklift daily and utilize other plant machinery and equipment as needed. This position is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, which focuses on innovating nutrition products for animals across the United States. The company is a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- 1 year of work experience in any industry
- Basic computer and math skills
- Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
- Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of warehousing work experience
- Forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
- Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly
- Processes work orders by selecting correct products from racks, palletizing them, shrink-wrapping, and staging the product order for delivery
- Able to multi-task and keep up with warehousing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area
- Successful forklift certification required
