About The Position

Cerrowire in Ogden, Utah is hiring a Warehouse Operator to perform a variety of distribution-center and plant-floor functions, including stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, order picking, and operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. This position works Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Hourly pay starts at $24.00, and hourly team members are paid weekly. The role requires safely moving and handling products and materials, processing and documenting inventory, preparing shipments, inspecting equipment, and following safety procedures. Operators may also support plant-floor activities, 6S efforts, training, inventory management, and other assigned work. Overtime may be required for training, projects, inventory, and other functions.

Requirements

High-energy individual with a strong work ethic; the work is fast-paced and very physical.
Must be able to read, write, and interpret orders in English.
Must be able to lift, carry, shift, stage, load, and lower up to 75 pounds of reels, boxes, coils, and similar items consistently throughout the entire shift.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test, physical assessment, and background check.
Must obtain and maintain a Cerro Wire-issued forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently move, place, and load products throughout the warehouse, plant, and transport vehicles.
Promote a safe work environment for yourself and teammates.
Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely to the shipping bay.
Provide positive interactions for people dropping off or picking up inventory and supplies.
Handle all materials with appropriate care.
Receive and document merchandise for delivery or return in the system and on paper forms.
Enter product, order, and transport information accurately and on time.
Maintain an inventory of merchandise entering and leaving the warehouse.
Identify missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
Pack and label merchandise securely for shipping.
Complete required safety inspections on equipment used.
Obtain and maintain a Cerro Wire-issued forklift certification.
Operate assigned equipment according to prescribed guidelines.
Stop and report unsafe actions, processes, or environments that could cause injury or damage.
Complete all duties and responsibilities safely; ask questions when tasks or standards are unclear.
Scan labels to verify products are accurately labeled with the correct product and weight.
Build, maintain, and improve the 6S process in the assigned area, and support 6S efforts across the plant floor and property on every shift.
Assist with assigned plant-floor duties, including cleaning and organizing, supporting production operators and maintenance, completing training and policy reviews, attending meetings, and managing inventory.
Assist with training new team members on processes, systems, and expectations as needed.
Work overtime as needed for training, projects, inventory, and other functions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
