About The Position

This role is responsible for various warehouse and manufacturing tasks, including operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The position requires adherence to company safety rules and the ability to work effectively with team members. The role is primarily based in a warehouse and manufacturing setting, with potential for weekend, holiday, and on-call work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong math, computer and data entry skills
  • Experience with scan guns and scanning, printing equipment/technology
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Read, write and understand English
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Observe company work rules and safety rules at all times, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and wearing a seat belt while driving a forklift at all times.
  • Receive and maintain forklift certification. If utilizing company vehicles, must have and maintain a valid state drivers’ license.
  • Operate all types of forklifts and/or material handling equipment to effectively store, stage, move and transfer material to/from appropriate locations, utilizing scanners and barcode equipment, visual observations and verification of counts.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy and assist with scheduled cycle counts and inventory counts.
  • Partner with the inventory team to maintain the perpetual inventory count as well as a month end physical count on raw materials and finished goods, as needed.
  • Load/unload trucks or trailers safely, abiding by all safety control parameters and policies.
  • Work with Warehouse Manager, Inventory Manager and Production, as needed.
  • Coordinate work with Warehouse Leads, Traffic Coordinator, Customer Service, Planner/Schedulers or Production as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable in ERP/Inventory management system as it applies to warehouse and shipping functions, including the use of computers and associated software, scanning equipment, printers and labeling equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment (shelves, pallet area, workstations, etc.).
  • Understand process flow and maintain supplies of packaging materials and raw material/components in the staging areas.
  • Maintain a consistent, efficient and stocked warehouse and work area while organizing and maximizing floor space.
  • Alert supervisor or next level manager of any discrepancies or encountered problems which may affect customer’s delivery and/or inventory.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication and people skills, and have the ability to work with all team members, demonstrating a positive demeanor and a “can do” attitude.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
