About The Position

ProFast is a second-generation owned family business, established in 1986 in the Philadelphia area, operating in the construction product distribution business with 4 locations and a Corporate Office in Harrisburg, PA. The company is growth-minded and values its employees, customers, and teammates. ProFast is opening a new Ohio branch and is seeking a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead to support operations in a 4,000 sq. ft. fulfillment-focused facility in Columbus, Ohio. This role works closely with one outside sales representative and reports directly to the Pittsburgh Branch Manager. The ideal candidate should be organized, proactive, able to multitask in a busy work environment, and possess strong communication skills to handle customer questions and concerns. The Warehouse Ops Lead will be responsible for operating a forklift, picking, packing, and shipping orders, ensuring accurate handling of incoming and outgoing inventory, assembling equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing excellent customer service to vendors and clients. Teamwork, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Familiarity with LTL shipping processes
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Health Card
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Strong organization skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Strong communication sills both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3+ years warehouse experience
  • Experience using Netsuite (ERP system)
  • Experience in construction or industrial supply distribution

Responsibilities

  • Accurate shipping and receiving of inter-company transfer as well as purchase orders for vendors.
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments
  • Accurately process receiving and order fulfillment in ERP system
  • Assembly of new equipment to be delivered to customers.
  • Logging of customer equipment and tools sent in for repairs
  • Maintain a high level of customer service when dealing with customers and vendors alike.
  • Stock and organize inventory
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders
  • Coordinate LTL shipments and carrier pickups
  • Load and unload trucks safely
  • Make occasional local deliveries using pickup, trailer, or box truck
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
  • Work towards continuous quality improvement.
  • Uphold, support and promote all company policies and procedures
