Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material movement, waste management, and warehouse organization. This position ensures the accurate and efficient flow of materials into and out of the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production requirements, and adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operator role highly preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Experience reading and understanding specifications, SOP’s, and other work instructions.
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all inbound shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Print and apply labels to materials and shipments.
  • Prepare, inspect, and process all outbound shipments, including customer-required documentation, to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Load and unload LTL carriers, vans, and other transportation vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Create, review, and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs) and all shipping and receiving paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Schedule freight pickups, returns, and carrier appointments, including shipments for maintenance as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, and logistics-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions within SAP.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and routine audits.
  • Ensure First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices are followed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Organize warehouse locations to support efficient inventory control.
  • Deliver raw materials and components to production areas and ensure timely replenishment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Move materials throughout the facility, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Attend production meetings as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse that complies with safety, housekeeping, and operational standards.
  • Support and participate in 5S initiatives and continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Manage disposal of production waste and scrap materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for inbound and outbound documentation.
  • Support internal audits and documentation reviews as required.
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, carriers, and vendors, including coordinating the inflow of materials.
  • Assist other departments, support facility operations as business needs require, and perform other duties as assigned.
