About The Position

Join us at United Exports! You will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and optimization of the movement, storage, processes, and distribution, allocating inventory (berries) to sales orders, ensuring compliance with quality standards, inventory accuracy, and timely dispatch or receipt of inventory. This position is the link to control and supervise the service provided by our warehouse partners. This position will be in charge of the coordination of our third-party warehouse in Plant City and will occasionally visit other warehouses around the US and Canada (depending on the season). It is needed to constantly visit Plant City, so it is important to live around the Tampa area or be willing to relocate. Hybrid work.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, logistics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Fresh produce exposure preferred.
  • Worked with shippers, trucking companies and import agents.
  • Experience in managing service agreements with 3PL warehouses, trucking companies, suppliers of materials and others.
  • Experience in inventory management and systems.
  • Experience with sales operations, coordinating shipping and fulling orders.
  • Flexibility to do coverage on different shifts. (Weekends and/or extended hours).
  • Computer literacy: MS Office - Advanced Excel. Database and ERP systems.
  • NetSuite or other Inventory Management System preferred.
  • Leading skills to manage the operations.
  • Good understanding of the sales process. (To delivery).
  • Good understanding of the fruit industry. Preferred.
  • Negotiating skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail and results orientated.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in agreements to operate the fruit properly, focus on efficiencies and performance of the service, control and budget rates, organize the billing cycles and conditions for allocation of cost. Give services weekly plan updates to ensure it is aligned with warehouse capacity. Manage our partners to be accountable on ensuring our expectations.
  • Keeping all inventories balanced with optimum rotation, follow the priority guidelines to full fill the sales allocation and keep track of issues and look for solutions of any product that may need some kind of attention.
  • Tracking the product till delivery, report about any issues that may affect the customer and control the shipping security measures and escalate when it is required.
  • Constant tracking shipments from the growers incoming to the controlled warehouses, produce availability reports for sales allocations.
  • Organize and instruct packing and/or repacks services needed. Procure materials, necessary staff, process lines layouts and setting for any process needed. Make any notification of any anomaly and follow up the results for further control.
  • All Invoices must be allocated to a traceable lot, proactively notify of any additional / special expenses to finance department and manager.
  • Facilitate full inspections before any product is shipped and ensure that deliveries to customers are according to agreed quality standards.
