This role is responsible for ensuring the shipping area is clean, organized, and operating efficiently. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, leading by example, and holding others accountable for safe work practices to achieve zero incidents. The individual will learn the Dock Scheduler role for backup and must become forklift certified within the first 30 days. Responsibilities include ensuring pallets are available for auto-palletizing, sorting pallets for quality, assisting with hand palletizing when needed, checking trailer/container conditions, inspecting pallets for damage and proper wrapping, visually checking pallets for item codes and pallet numbers, determining optimal truck loading patterns, completing shipment confirmations, generating bills of lading, and ensuring effective shift handovers. The role also emphasizes meeting health and safety requirements, maintaining a positive safety culture, and embodying the company's ownership mindset and principles.
