About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler fulfills customer orders by retrieving and stacking the specified products and quantities from a pick ticket or computer screen. The role involves traveling throughout the warehouse pick area and building stable pallets while meeting company expectations for safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The position is part time and scheduled for the first shift.

Requirements

Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Pallet Jack Certification.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30 pounds.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to coordinate and organize efficient, dependable warehouse processes.
Ability to adapt to different work areas and meet their expectations throughout the workday.
Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
Attention to detail and ability to differentiate product packages.
Ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment that is hot in summer and cold in winter.

Responsibilities

Retrieve and place specified quantities of product cases onto pallets according to pick tickets, following safety and stability requirements.
Transport pallets of stacked product to different warehouse areas using a powered industrial truck (PIT) pallet jack.
Assist with warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping as assigned or needed.
Complete daily PIT checklists and report discovered issues to warehouse management.
Correct product or quantity mistakes identified by a checker.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Carry out miscellaneous activities that support efficient warehouse operations.
