About The Position

Ryder is hiring permanent, full-time Warehouse Material Handlers to support its facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The role handles automotive parts and supplies in a warehouse distribution environment, using powered industrial material-handling equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, and pallet jacks. The position pays $23.96 per hour, with an additional $1.25 per hour when working second shift. Ryder provides on-the-job paid training, safety gear, and state-of-the-art equipment. The position may involve various work shifts and requires availability to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid, certified Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work as a team player in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Highly thorough and dependable, with punctuality and a good attendance record.
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.

• Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects of the automated packing system during the core production shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
