About The Position

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will work with the team to ensure products get where they need to be. Duties include unloading delivery vehicles, receiving inventory, storing product, and selecting and packing customer orders. At times, you will deliver customer orders in a light van or delivery vehicle. Graybar is an employee-owned company that offers employees opportunities to learn and grow into higher-level positions.

The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The expected starting pay rate is $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements of a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 70 pounds, cutting wire, climbing ladders, and staying on the move in varying temperatures depending on the location.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Demonstrate good attendance and work ethic.
• Perform tasks quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts.
• Unload and accurately receive deliveries.
• Store product in its specific location and note its location in the system.
• Select and pack customer orders.
• At times, deliver customer orders in a light van or delivery vehicle.
• Maintain a clean warehouse, follow safety procedures, and perform daily safety inspections.
