Warehouse Driver/ Material Handler

About The Position

The Warehouse Driver is responsible for ensuring that materials are properly packed, loaded, and safely delivered to assigned jobs. The role also involves returning unused materials and products from work sites, coordinating returns with vendors, and completing required vehicle inspections and delivery documentation. The position supports field operations and requires safe vehicle and forklift use, attention to detail, and effective communication with coworkers, vendors, builders, and customers.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and coworkers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to proactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problems, conflicts, and issues; strong decision-making skills.
Organizational skills to maintain systems for tracking information associated with ordering and production.
Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word-processing software, and order-processing systems.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper materials, items, and equipment are packed and loaded onto the vehicle for delivery.
Load materials onto the vehicle with a forklift safely to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading.
Deliver materials, equipment, and products to assigned jobs.
Inspect vehicles before each use.
Maintain the cleanliness of the exterior and interior of Company vehicles.
Return unused products and materials from work sites and return them to vendors for credit on the company account.
Retrieve the original invoice from the AP Technician and provide it to the vendor.
Complete required documents and vehicle inspections, obtain signatures, and submit documentation as required.
Practice proper safety protocols and use appropriate safety equipment.
Perform other assigned field duties.
