About The Position

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you work with a team to move products where they need to go. Tasks include unloading delivery vehicles, receiving and storing inventory, and selecting and packing customer orders. At times, you may deliver customer orders using a light van or delivery vehicle. Graybar is an employee-owned company that offers opportunities to learn and grow into higher-level positions.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The expected starting pay rate is $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 70 pounds, cutting wire, climbing ladders, and staying active in varying temperatures depending on the location.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Good attendance and work ethic.
• Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts.
• Unload deliveries and accurately receive inventory.
• Store products in designated locations and record their locations in the system.
• Select and pack customer orders.
• At times, deliver customer orders in a light van or delivery vehicle.
• Maintain a clean warehouse, follow safety procedures, and perform daily safety inspections.
