About The Position

The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse operations and manages 30–45 people, including temporary workers. The role covers administrative office functions, shipping, receiving, order picking, truck appointment management, and building, equipment, and grounds maintenance. The manager is responsible for safe and productive operations, staffing and capacity decisions, operational spending and budgets, supplier and contractor negotiations, performance reporting, and analysis of labor data.

Responsibilities

Manage 30–45 employees, including temporary workers, across administrative office functions, shipping, receiving, order picking, truck appointment management, and building, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
Enforce work and safety rules and discipline employees when required.
Maintain productivity standards.
Work with the customer QC Department.
Ensure warehouses are clean and maintain a safe work environment.
Evaluate and assign overtime when required.
Create management reports on KPI attainment.
Oversee scheduling and adjust capacity as needed to reduce or eliminate overtime and temporary help.
Initiate purchases of clothing, warehouse supplies, office supplies, and related items.
Review and maintain contracts for building operations, including snow and trash removal.
Approve or sign off on all warehouse-operations expenditures.
Work within budget constraints and prepare for monthly departmental reviews of actual versus budget attainment.
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to obtain the best available rates and products.
Assess Labor Reporting System data for hourly Warehouse Coordinators and take corrective action to improve operations based on findings.
Perform ad hoc analysis as requested.
