About The Position

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining and promoting safety and security for all employees and contractors on company premises. This role involves managing the receiving, shipping, and inventory control processes, ensuring inventory levels are controlled according to the FIFO asset management system, and conducting weekly physical inventory counts. The manager will also ensure facility equipment and resources are operational and safe, maintain the storage area and racking systems, and implement quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, and preventative maintenance programs. Additionally, the role involves achieving financial objectives through budgeting and expenditure management, implementing and monitoring Pre-Scale performance and quality standards, coordinating with Production and Wrapping departments to meet demand, ensuring appropriate staffing, and enforcing company policies.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in related field with 2 to 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ERP systems is required.
Strong Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, HAACP.
Act as liaison between vendors, customers, and employees.
Speak the language of written and verbal communication with clarity.
Read, comprehend, and practice safety procedures like a safety superhero.
Research, develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures.
Read and comprehend the production schedule.
Lift 50 pounds effortlessly and stand tall for long periods.

Must be able to generate clear and effective written correspondence.
Ability to analyze details and deadlines with appropriate information.
Competent computer skills, including MS Office Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain and Promote SAFETY and SECURITY to all employees/contractors when on company premises.
Manages the receiving, shipping and inventory control process.
Controls & Manage inventory levels according to the FIFO asset management system.
Count & Track physical inventory levels each week.
Ensure facility equipment and resources remain operational and safe for use.
Maintain storage area and racking systems by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles and offering relevant improvements.
Implement, support, and maintain quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, and preventative maintenance programs.
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing impact and adjusting forecasts based on business operations and needs.
Implement and monitor Pre-Scale performance and quality standards.
Ensure objectives are clearly documented and easily evaluated to ensure standards are met consistently.
Coordinate with Production and Wrapping to ensure the flow of Warehouse inventory meets the demand of each respective department’s operations.
Ensure appropriate staffing needs are met timely and consistently.
Implement a clear expectation that all company policies, rules, and regulations are adhered to while conducting business on behalf of H&S Bakery.
Other related duties as assigned.
