About The Position

Carboline is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Lake Charles, LA to lead and oversee the warehouse, including the shipping of finished products to customers and inventory management for the chemical manufacturing facility. The role requires strong leadership to ensure product quality, facility safety, and coordination of plant production to achieve optimal performance targets. The manager will be responsible for efficient manufacturing levels, meeting production schedules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, managing employee morale and discipline, and minimizing overtime.

Requirements

Bachelors degree preferred
1 year direct Supervisory or Management experience
Certification to provide training in all forms of hazardous material transportation
Must either have forklift certification or have ability to pass forklift certification test
Must be physically and medically capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job as prescribed under OSHA standards based on exposure and manufacture recommendation for each specific location
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules
Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings

Responsibilities

Assigns employees to specific work tasks, utilizing them effectively while ensuring shipping schedules are met with minimum overtime and within company standards.
Manages the gathering, stenciling, and loading of orders being shipped.
Monitors orders being prepared for shipment according to the guidelines in the “Warehouse Manual.”
Monitors and maintains on-time shipment schedules.
Monitors employees' job performances, coaches, motivates, and disciplines as necessary.
Maintains proper housekeeping procedures to provide a safe working environment.
Takes an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by enforcing all safety rules & regulations.
Notifies Management of any accidents and/or injuries and completes required reporting through proper investigation per Carboline policy.
Responsible for inventory integrity through cycle counts.
Responsible for coordinating export orders with corporate transportation for on-time shipments.
Participates in and works on special projects as directed by Management.
Follows all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner.
Manages cycle counting and physical inventory procedures, including variance control.
Coordinates with shipping on the movement of finished goods to the distribution center.
Controls activities related to the generation of replenishment orders to all outside warehouse locations.
