About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, staffing, safety, and continuous improvement. This position ensures warehouse activities are completed accurately, efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards, production needs, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or materials management experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience leading warehouse teams in a manufacturing, distribution, food manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, receiving, shipping, warehouse layout, cycle counting, and material flow.
  • Experience operating forklifts, including high-reach forklifts, powered pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, inventory software, Microsoft Office, and handheld scanning technology.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and respond quickly to changing business needs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, forklift safety, warehouse safety practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification may be required.
  • Experience in a multi-shift warehouse or production support environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly required.

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, operations management, or related field preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or supply chain certification.
  • Experience with food safety, GMP, SQF, HACCP, or similar quality and compliance programs, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, loading, shipping, and inventory movement.
  • Lead, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse employees to ensure safe, productive, and accurate performance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation of discrepancies, and proper documentation.
  • Ensure all materials, finished goods, supplies, and equipment are stored and handled according to company procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor warehouse workflow, staffing levels, equipment utilization, and space requirements to support production schedules and customer shipments.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, carrier scheduling, shipping documentation, and timely movement of products.
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, equipment operating procedures, sanitation standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Investigate warehouse errors, inventory variances, shipping issues, safety incidents, and near misses; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Enforce quality GMP policies and procedures in warehouse.
  • Track and report key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, order accuracy, on-time shipments, labor efficiency, damage reduction, and safety performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve productivity, reduce waste, enhance accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Transportation teams to resolve operational issues and support business goals.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, racking, dock equipment, scanners, and other material handling tools; coordinate repairs or service as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, food safety or product safety requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate warehouse performance, priorities, and concerns to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
