Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
At least two (2) years of experience in commercial building maintenance functions including HVAC, ammonia systems, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, conveyor repair, and rack building.
Ability to read blueprint and schematic diagrams.
Ability to work with outside contractors.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Understanding of problem solving and time management.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have own tools.
Reliability, dependability, multi-tasking ability, flexibility in scheduling and after-hour on-call availability.

Nice To Haves

Preferred Electrical Certification, Welding Certification, or HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the maintenance team and support all aspects of the maintenance department as needed.
Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
Ensure all plant equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing repairs and long-term improvements.
Responsible for maintenance and repairs of the building (interior and exterior structures and related fixtures and utilities) through the use of a variety of skills consisting of advanced carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, welding, conveyor, HVAC and ammonia systems.
