About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for putting away pallets in an efficient and accurately way. Recording transactions in the inventory system following the SOP. Responsible for driving power equipment following all safety requirements. This is a warehouse position requiring frequent physical labor, not an office position. All S&S Activewear employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read and speak English
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery
• Must be comfortable using electronic devices
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation
• Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery - Forklift/Cherry Picker Driver Experience
• Must be flexible with start and departure time changing
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Responsible for any additional duties assigned
• Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest).

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment needed to perform primary role i.e; Forklift, Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser (Cart), Pallet jack, Scanners, Tablets and Company WMS.
• Perform and complete daily safety inspection check list for all equipment used.
• Maintain productivity minimum requirements CPH, and work with a sense of urgency
• Retrieve inventory from up-stock and floor locations and deliver to designated areas
• Operate barcode scanner and use warehouse software
• Act professionally and remain focused while working
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment
• Follow directions of leadership
• Perform cleaning activities as required
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
• Maintain a positive attitude
