About The Position

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Warehouse Logistics Associate supports distribution operations, including receiving, storing, controlling inventory, picking and packing construction supply materials, and dispatching delivery trucks. The role typically works Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week, with overtime available depending on NEFCO’s needs. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime, with a stated salary of $20–$23 based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system.
Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes.
Basic computer skills.
Positive, hard-working attitude.
Ability to multitask.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods.
Ability to work for long periods in varying climate conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity.
Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and twist while lifting.
Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, and be recertified.
Detail-oriented, hands-on approach and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide general assistance, including pulling and staging orders.
Maintain bin locations.
Help ensure the warehouse is safe, organized, and clean.
Assist with cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
Attend safety training and meetings and follow applicable rules and regulations.
Inspect forklifts and complete inspection reports; operate forklifts.
Communicate consistently with management and branch personnel.
Verify inventory against purchase orders for accuracy when performing receiving functions.
Receive inventory into NEFCO’s ERP software system and stage or shelve inventory.
Use RF technology to pick orders and verify items.
Send picked orders to the packing department.
Pack goods according to NEFCO processes and procedures.
Load trucks with packed orders in a specified sequence.
