About The Position

This role involves supervising daily activities of Material Handlers, assisting the Supervisor in coordinating workflow, and reviewing orders and notices to determine work sequences. The Warehouse Lead will assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency. This position also involves conducting team talks, planning assignments, coordinating operations to ensure on-time deliveries, and ensuring safety in work processes through education and maintaining a safe work environment. The Lead will communicate policies, safety regulations, and SOPs, ensuring compliance and assisting with corrective actions. Maintaining a clean and orderly facility, minimizing product damage, and coaching Team Members on company culture, expectations, job performance, and safety are key responsibilities. The Lead will also inform the Supervisor of operating and performance issues, making recommendations for corrective action. Additionally, the role includes operating vehicles, machines, or equipment, and making recommendations for improving work procedures, building efficiency, customer service, work conditions, product quality, and minimizing expenses. A significant part of the role involves operating a lift truck for various material handling duties and ensuring reliable attendance for scheduled shifts while adhering to safety and security standards.

Forklift Certification

Conducts team talks or start-up meetings in conjunction with supervisors.
Plans assignments, coordinates and monitors operations within the warehouse to ensure on-time deliveries are achieved, reducing irregularities and damage.
Ensures safety in work processes and Team Member performance by supporting company and/or facility safety programs, by educating Team Members, and by ensuring a generally safe work environment.
Communicates policies, safety regulations and SOPs to Team Members; follows-up to ensure compliance and consistency; assists in corrective action as necessary and documents the issue and actions taken.
Ensures that facility is maintained clean and in an orderly fashion.
Ensures that product damage is kept to a minimum.
Coaches and counsels Team Members regarding company culture and expectations, job performance, methods of performing job tasks and safety.
Informs Supervisor of all operating issues and problems and makes recommendations for corrective action to ensure quality warehouse operations and customer service.

Drives vehicles or operates machines or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workers.

Operates a lift truck performing various material handling duties in the facility as requested by Operations Manager or Supervisor.
Reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
