About The Position
The Warehouse Lead supervises warehouse employees on an assigned shift and maintains an orderly, efficient warehouse while verifying that warehouse projects are completed correctly. The role coordinates forklift operators, oversees warehouse product placement and order processing, and helps ensure compliance with warehouse and inventory rules. The lead also trains and coaches forklift operators and can cover the clerk position and other warehouse areas as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of related experience and/or training.
- Good knowledge of computer systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of related warehousing experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily tasks and assignments of forklift operators.
- Supervises product placement in the warehouse, shipping orders, receiving orders, and required paperwork.
- Serves as liaison between forklift operators and the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with rules and regulations related to the warehouse and inventory.
- Trains and coaches forklift operators on warehouse policies and procedures, including safe work practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Covers the clerk position and other warehouse areas as needed.
