About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading and controlling activities of branch warehouse personnel assigned to the Shipping Department. This role ensures that order selection and related shipping functions are performed effectively and monitors work processes and environmental conditions to help ensure employee safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of warehousing experience.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, occasionally between 60 and 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, for an entire shift.
• Ability to work regularly at heights of up to 26 feet above ground, using provided safety equipment, processes, and training.
• Self-starter with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using AS400.
• Strong PC skills in Word and Excel.
• Ability to effectively plan workload and staff assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members with the timely and accurate assembly of customer orders in preparation for shipment.
• Provide a professional environment for fellow team members, other department members, and external customers.
• Direct daily activities necessary to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Organize work and focus on improving productivity by improving processes and department team-member efficiency.
• Ensure company policies, including operational, safety, and administrative policies, are communicated, applied, and enforced.
• Maximize quality and productivity by understanding company expectations and assisting the Warehouse Manager in evaluating performance variances, identifying root causes, and determining corrective action.
