Position Summary: Work directly with the Depot Manager and Depot Supervisor in coordinating the receiving and processing of all inbound freight; supervise, guide, and direct leads and warehouse personnel to ensure all inbound freight is offloaded, processed, sorted, palletized and loaded in a timely manner; inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and miss-routed packages; communicate with managers, leads, and package handlers; coordinate warehouse changes and make adjustments as needed; assist with training new personnel as well as review current/new procedures with staff; estimate pallets weights prior to loading to ensure trucks are below GVWR requirements; communicate with inbound drivers to estimate volumes, assign dock doors, and ensure timely arrivals to the office; perform other related duties as required. The Warehouse Supervisor is also expected to meet performance standards set by management and to comply with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a supervisor in warehouse and transportation environment.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and supervise warehouse employees.
  • Basic reading, math, computer and typing skills.
  • Knowledge of major cities and zip codes in the states that we operate.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and via email in clear manner.
  • Comprehend written and oral information effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities.
  • Forklift, pallet truck, and pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities
