About The Position

Carolina International Trucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our growing team. As a Warehouse Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, leading a team of warehouse associates, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Lead or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners (certifications preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and to stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Ensure efficient receiving, storage, and shipping of inventory, adhering to established procedures and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting, regular audits, and proper documentation.
  • Operate and train others on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, ensuring safe and efficient usage.
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Identify and resolve warehouse operational issues, escalating complex problems to the Parts Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and customer service, to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in training new warehouse associates on procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.
