About The Position

Oversee and perform daily warehouse activities supporting accurate receiving, inventory movement, staging, packaging, and shipping in a fast-paced team environment. This role completes moderately complex warehouse tasks within established procedures and safety guidelines, uses sound judgment to resolve routine issues, and escalates complex matters as needed. The Warehouse Lead applies practical warehouse knowledge, equipment proficiency, inventory accuracy, and safety best practices to support daily workflow. This role may guide less experienced team members on standard procedures but does not have formal supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in warehouse, logistics, production, or materials handling.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently on routine and moderately complex warehouse assignments while following established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify common issues, take appropriate action within guidelines, and escalate when needed.
  • Basic computer skills required, including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Must possess the ability to read and differentiate alpha/numeric characters and be attentive to details.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping/receiving documents, product labels, item locations, and basic technical or inventory information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
  • Mechanical background and forklift certification (applicable state certification) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, move, pick, stage, package, and ship products accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures.
  • Allocate, distribute, pull, and pick product from proper locations, verifying quantities, part numbers, and documentation for accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory movement and communicate stock, location, or order discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or team member.
  • Package and stage materials or products for shipment, including shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling, and preparing required shipping documentation.
  • Ship products using approved methods, including national carriers, customer vehicles, and internal delivery processes.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counting, location updates, item verification, and timely reporting of discrepancies.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for visible damage or quality concerns and follow established procedures to prevent damaged products from being received, stored, or shipped.
  • Complete required paperwork and system updates accurately and timely, including item location, receiving, shipping, and invoicing-related documentation.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed after completing required safety training and certification.
  • Apply knowledge of warehouse tools, equipment, materials, and safety procedures to complete daily assignments independently.
  • Identify and resolve common warehouse workflow issues within established guidelines; escalate unusual, complex, or high-impact issues to a supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with delivery personnel, customers, supervisors, and team members to support proper flow of orders and products.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Comply with all company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Share knowledge of standard warehouse processes to help ensure work is accurate and completed in accordance with safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
