About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing and coordinating daily warehouse floor operations to ensure efficient material flow, timely order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality requirements. This role serves as the primary operational leader on the warehouse floor, acting as the central point of coordination between warehouse personnel and management. The Warehouse Lead is accountable for execution, team mentorship, issue escalation, and operational communication while supporting management in achieving service, quality, and productivity goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ picking and shipping experience
  • Inventory experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multitask.
  • Be able to lift 40 lbs.+ regularly.
  • Ability to use time productively.
  • Identify and prioritize workload.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and internal material movement.
  • Printing Shipping labels for customers’ orders
  • Data Entry in Acumatica
  • Handling pro forma orders/COC’s/Special Shipping Instructions
  • Verification and packaging
  • Filling out warehouse documentation (i.e., picking ticket) legibly and neatly
  • Create the shipping entries in the ERP system.
  • Receive incoming products into inventory from Receiving department via a PO.
  • Receive incoming products into inventory from Production department via a MO.
  • Follow FIFO procedure.
  • Assist in loading FedEx and UPS trucks.
  • Attendance and Timeliness
  • Assist during inventory counts and escalate/investigate discrepancies.
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings to communicate priorities, safety topics, and operational updates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for warehouse floor escalations and immediate problem-solving.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to team members to improve performance, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and provide feedback to management.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and ensure operational readiness of warehouse tools and machinery.
  • Prepare and report warehouse performance metrics including shipping performance, inventory accuracy, backlog status, and productivity KPIs to management.
