About The Position

The warehouse lead is responsible for directing workflow of the employees. This role supervises and supports warehouse staff, trains new employees, coordinates workflow, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to review orders, documentation, and paperwork to ensure accuracy and effective communication across departments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including professional email and telephone correspondence.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry.
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid forklift certification required
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of six months of warehouse lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee inquiries and collaborate with management to resolve issues as needed.
  • Monitor employee productivity and ensure performance standards are consistently met.
  • Oversee and verify the accurate and timely completion of assigned work.
  • Provide support and assistance to team members with daily operational tasks.
  • Communicate job expectations, processes, procedures, and requirements to new employees; lead onboarding and training efforts for warehouse staff.
  • Instruct employees on the proper use of equipment for handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping inventory.
  • Provide guidance on receiving, storing, and shipping materials and products.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Communicate daily operational activities and updates to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and promote a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, mutual respect, and positive working relationships with all employees.
  • Maintain a dependable attendance record and flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.
  • Follow quality service standards and ensure compliance with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Comply with attendance, punctuality, meal period, and breaktime policies.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Travel regularly between multiple sites to ensure operational and safety consistency - Must maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and maintain a clean motor vehicle report at all times throughout employment
