About The Position

Sazerac Company is seeking a Warehouse Lead for its newest facility, JVL, located in Jeffersonville, IN. This role is responsible for leading warehouse operations, including order picking, truck loading, inventory management, and forklift operations within a customs bonded warehouse environment. The position involves overseeing inbound and outbound inventory accuracy, coordinating outbound appointments, supporting loading and staging crews, and ensuring compliance with labeling requirements. The Warehouse Lead will also manage customs bonded warehouse entries, withdrawals, and inventory, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good vision and manual dexterity, solid computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Two years experience in distribution, warehousing, and/or transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year continuous experience in every previous job.
  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and record of successful leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Leading warehouse operations including order picking, truck loading, inventory management, and forklift operations within a customs bonded warehouse environment.
  • Overseeing inbound and outbound inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, shipment verification, and quality control of outgoing products.
  • Coordinating outbound appointments, supporting loading and staging crews, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state labeling requirements prior to shipment.
  • Managing customs bonded warehouse entries, withdrawals, and inventory.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Coordinating daily warehouse workflows to ensure efficient movement of materials and timely shipment processing.
  • Supporting inventory accuracy through production reconciliation, stock organization, and ongoing inventory tracking activities.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain operational efficiency and meet production and distribution goals.
  • Promoting a strong safety culture by maintaining clean work areas and ensuring proper use and upkeep of warehouse equipment and assigned property.
