About The Position

With over 80 years serving the automotive, body shop, agricultural, fleet, and industrial markets, Auto Electric Service Ltd. And Mainline Fleet aresouthern Saskatchewan’s largest locally owned and operated automotive parts warehouse. With locations in Regina, Emerald Park, Yorkton, Estevan, and Weyburn, we proudly serve both retail and wholesale customers. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Lead Hand to join our Auto Electric Service team in Yorkton. The Warehouse Lead Hand is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing goods. This includes overseeing the receiving stock orders, processing branch transfers, preparing customer shipments, coordinating courier pickups, logging all incoming and outgoing shipments, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring safety and compliance with transportation regulations. This role supports the entire warehouse workflow and is responsible for dispatch and delivery operations.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders and inventory.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with daily shipping deadlines.
  • Basic computer literacy including Vision/Epicor, courier portals, and shipment tracking systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the unloading of deliveries (skids and palletized product) into designated receiving areas using pallet jacks or other approved equipment.
  • Oversee the inspection of shipments for shortages, overages, or damage and record discrepancies on packing slips.
  • Investigate variances of verified received product.
  • Oversee the pick and pack of all outgoing shipments.
  • Arrange dispatch for all outgoing courier and LTL shipments.
  • Dispatch all orders and transfers for pick, pack and delivery by order of time sensitivity
  • Liasson with transport companies for delivery and pick up times.
  • Log all shipments by date, transport method, customer and tracking/BOL numbers
  • Oversee the staging of customer orders for delivery.
  • Ensure orders are accurate and complete prior to shipment.
  • Maintain accurate system inventory through proper receiving and stock movement procedures.
  • Ensure that local deliveries are logged correctly by drivers.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification when required.
  • Keep aisles, shelving, cages, and packaging areas organized and safe.
  • Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Maintain required PPE (personal protective equipment) including safety footwear and other required warehouse PPE.
  • Comply with Dangerous Goods regulations and proper handling procedures.
  • Ensure Dangerous Goods documentation accompanies any hazardous shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide backup driving for deliveries and pickups as required.
  • Assist customer service and picking teams during high-volume periods.
  • Help stage orders and prepare shipments for courier pickup or internal delivery routes.
