About The Position

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting a Warehouse Labourer to join their operations team. Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a strong track record and a commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. They operate three mines in Canada and Mexico, with a portfolio of development-stage projects and an early-stage exploration project. Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines, located near Matachewan, Ontario. The mine has recently undergone a significant expansion, increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. Alamos Gold is seeking motivated and committed individuals to join their team, particularly those passionate about warehouse operations and inventory management, who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where accuracy, safety, and customer service are essential. The Warehouse Labourer will play a strategic role in supporting warehouse operations by receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping parts and materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining records, supporting customers at the parts counter, and contributing to the efficient movement of materials. This role involves working closely with operations, maintenance, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain inventory integrity, support business continuity, and ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

High school diploma with related post-secondary training.
Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory management experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing procedures, and inventory control practices.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse inventory systems.
Commitment to customer service, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of mining equipment and parts is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Receive, unpack, inspect, store, and ship merchandise, parts, and materials accurately and efficiently.
Conduct cycle counts, maintain inventory records, and utilize warehouse inventory systems to track stock levels.
Provide support at the parts counter, answer inquiries, and fulfill requests from internal and external customers.
Offload trucks, operate forklifts, and safely move materials throughout the warehouse.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, identify opportunities for improvement, and follow all safety policies and procedures.
