About The Position

Arterra Wines Canada is seeking to fill four Warehouse General Labourer roles. This position will support all internal and external customers by safely performing duties in a warehousing and distribution environment, focusing on order fulfillment. The company has 150 years of experience in the Canadian wine industry and is driven by its people, working together with integrity and pride.

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Minimum 1-2 years of Warehouse experience
• Experience using RF scanner
• Midnight Shift, Monday - Thursday
• Valid walkie, forklift, reach certification, and MHE certificate with 1 - 3 years minimum experience
• HACCP / GMP knowledge
• WHMIS experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the hospitality industry with wine knowledge being an important asset.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems an asset

Responsibilities

• Respecting and following all company rules & policies.
• Conducting all actions with safety, productivity, high customer service, professional courtesy and damage prevention as the priorities.
• Picking orders at rates matching the required accuracy and productivity standards.
• Replenishing case picking locations from the bulk section according to the direction of the Supervisor and/or the Warehouse Management System.
• Preparing orders for shipment to the standards required by all customers.
• Receiving shipments, verifying quantities, documenting staging location and reporting all discrepancies and damages.
• Unloading trailers in a safe and professional manner focusing on avoiding damages to product and equipment.
• Putting away receipts according to the directions of the Supervisor and/or the Warehouse Management System.
• Loading shipments accurately and with the care required to avoid damages to product and equipment.
• Maintaining the warehouse in the state of cleanliness and organization required.
• Performing an equipment inspection and completing the inspection form at the beginning of your shift.
• Assisting in physical inventory counts.

Benefits

• Budgeted Range – $25.90 per hour. The budgeted range will align with qualifications, including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements.
