About The Position

Southern Industries Home Improvement is seeking a Warehouse Laborer for their Charleston location. This is a full-time position responsible for various warehouse duties including unloading deliveries, compiling materials for job orders, loading installer vehicles, maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness, and assisting the warehouse manager. Southern Industries is a family-owned company with over 57 years of experience and is a premier home remodeling company in the Southeast, employing over 350 people across 5 states.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Pass a background check
Able to read a tape measure
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Ability to lift and/or push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
Works well alone
Organized and detail-oriented
Punctual, organized, flexible, levelheaded
Must be able to multitask and prioritize

Online purchasing
Creating purchase orders in Salesforce
Forklift experience OR the ability to learn

Responsibilities

Unload deliveries into the warehouse
Compile materials on job orders for easy loading into installer vehicles
Help load installer vehicles
Keep the warehouse organized
Keep the warehouse clean
Assist the warehouse manager
Assist the Production Manager
Deliver material to job sites and run various errands
Stock products into warehouse and maintain inventory
Stage jobs by pulling all needed products from warehouse for installers to pick up
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety instructions
Other duties as assigned
