About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Associate to join their team. This role involves performing a variety of duties within the warehouse operations to support customers and meet business goals. The associate will be responsible for tasks such as pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, performing quality control checks, dumping, reworking, replenishing, and handling products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods. The specific duties may vary depending on the facility. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, good manufacturing practices, and food safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
  • Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Sorting and grouping skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions.
  • Must be able to count large quantities of products and materials.
  • Must be able to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • At least six (6) months of Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies accuracy and quality of products received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
  • Performs all check-in/check-out duties and maintains proper records (Bill of Ladings (BOLs), receivers, pick tickets, etc.) according to standard operating procedures.
  • Counts goods returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel (damaged, full, and/or empty).
  • Interacts with automation systems, voice pick system, paper pick tickets, and/or other warehouse management systems to verify and record products, build/finish pallets, and ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
  • Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors/issues, and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
  • Safely and efficiently operates various warehouse material handling/moving equipment (e.g., single or double forklifts, HSPA Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, wrappers) to store, stage, retrieve, replenish, load, or unload products and materials.
  • Safely and efficiently operates other warehouse and material handling machinery, including the floor scrubber, cardboard baler, dock plates, and bay doors.
  • Performs all required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
  • Performs janitorial tasks as necessary in the designated work area to maintain a clean and organized space, including emptying trash, cleaning spills, picking up debris, and restacking overturned pallets/product.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Security and other food safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
