About The Position

Provide excellent customer service while conducting services as outlined in the service agreement at Albany Medical Center. The role is responsible for managing medical equipment inventory and related service activities in a healthcare facility, while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. The primary shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. The posting also states an ability to work Saturday and Sunday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Reliability and organization.
Ability to work in a team environment with an enthusiastic and positive work attitude.
Ability to comprehend company and customer infection-control guidelines.
Ability to perform essential duties safely, ergonomically, and ethically.
Ability to follow company and site requirements for personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety shoes, and glasses.
Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for 6–8 hours per shift, push and pull, and lift at least 60 pounds.
Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate safety and ergonomic procedures.
Ability to work Saturday and Sunday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM.

Nice To Haves

General computer knowledge, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet.
Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Move and maneuver medical products within healthcare facilities using appropriate processes and safety techniques.
Manage inventory, delivery, retrieval, and coordination of equipment.
Properly use and maintain facilities and managed products.
Assist with tracking and pulling assets due for preventative maintenance.
Complete assigned day-to-day activities.
Identify equipment problems and communicate them to management or the Asset Coordinator.
Demonstrate safety awareness and compliance, and complete required safety and compliance learning modules on time.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities.
Identify safety concerns and correct them as necessary.
Communicate effectively and professionally with company and customer management and personnel.
Make effective time-management decisions to address customer satisfaction issues.
