About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the invoicing and transportation for export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.

Requirements

• Associates degree and 1+ year work experience in a distribution environment or High School diploma (or GED) and 3 + years' work experience in logistics.
• Exceptional communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Computer, and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Understands warehouse management systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Create export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.
• Schedule air and ocean pick up requests with trucking companies and freight forwarders to ensure flow of goods from origin to point of export.
• Identify and resolve issues arising during the shipping process.
• Complete post shipment tasks: such as emailing pre-alerts to Clients, scanning photos, creating ITNs for tracking purposes, and updating system with shipment details.
• Respond to customer service requests via email and phone.
• Create month end reports.
• Ship International Hazmat.
