About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse yard. The primary responsibility is to move trailers within the yard to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes. The position is based in Reno, NV, and operates on a Sunday to Thursday schedule.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Previous experience as a yard driver or hostler is preferred.
• Ability to operate yard trucks and other heavy equipment safely.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and trailer movement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including climbing in and out of the cab and walking the yard.
• Must be able to work the specified shift: Sunday - Thursday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Nice To Haves

• CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus.
• Experience with trailer spotting.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock doors.
• Operate yard truck (hostler) to shuttle trailers.
• Ensure trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the yard truck and trailers.
• Maintain a safe and organized yard environment.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay of $26.50.
• Weekend differential incentive of $1.00/hour.
