About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse and yard. The primary responsibility is to move trailers within the yard and to and from the dock doors. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and efficient yard management.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous experience as a yard driver or hostler is preferred.
- Ability to operate yard equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- CDL Class A license.
- Experience with trailer spotting.
Responsibilities
- Move trailers within the yard.
- Move trailers to and from dock doors.
- Operate yard equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Benefits
- $26.50 per hour
- $1.00/hour weekend differential incentive
