About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse and yard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving trailers within the company's premises, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods. This position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday, from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with the understanding that hours may be subject to change based on business needs. A differential incentive is offered for weekend work.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Previous experience operating yard trucks or hostlers preferred.
Ability to work the specified shift (Tuesday - Saturday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM).
Understanding of safe trailer maneuvering techniques.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.

Nice To Haves

CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus.
Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate hostler/yard truck to move trailers within the yard.
Position trailers for loading and unloading at dock doors.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the hostler/yard truck and trailers.
Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
