About The Position

Gulfeagle Supply is a family-owned distributor of residential and commercial roofing and building products, serving professional contractors as well as homeowners, building owners, architects, and general contractors. The Warehouse Helper works under the direction of the Branch Manager and operates the warehouse forklift while carrying out material-handling duties safely and with a customer-oriented approach. The role includes warehouse, yard, and truck upkeep, helping customers, and completing other duties as needed. The position requires work indoors and outdoors, including under adverse weather conditions, and frequent lifting of materials weighing up to 100 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
• Must be forklift licensed or certified.
• Must be able to continually lift up to 100 pounds of material.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the forklift to store materials in an organized manner and retrieve materials for loading into customer and branch vehicles.
• Receive vendor materials, verify quantities, and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Assist with quarterly inventory or inventory as needed.
• Keep the warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper, presentable condition and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Handle materials safely and follow company safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety equipment.
• Assist customers with materials and report delivery or service issues.
• Perform other tasks as necessary.
