About The Position
This is a temporary position with Marion County Public Schools (MCPS). Temporary employees have a contract for a defined period not to exceed the end of the fiscal year. Temporary employees are paid $15.00 per hour with no benefits and are not covered by the collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must provide contact information for the four most recent positions of employment.
- Must understand that pre-employment drug testing is mandatory.
- Must understand a pre-employment Level II ground check will be conducted.
- Must disclose any omissions, incorrect or false responses on the application.
- Must not be currently serving court-ordered probation or be in an open court case for any offense other than a minor traffic violation (if not a current MCPS employee).
- Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be eligible for (re)employment based on Florida Retirement System (FRS) guidelines.
