Warehouse Helper
About The Position
Progressive Communications LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Helper to support warehouse operations for electrical construction projects in Augusta, Georgia. This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, stays organized, and can safely move, load, unload, and stage tools, materials, equipment, and inventory for field crews. The Warehouse Helper reports to the Warehouse Manager and helps keep the warehouse clean, safe, organized, and efficient. Candidates should be reliable, safety-minded, able to follow directions, and willing to work overtime as project and business needs require.
Requirements
- Able to perform physically demanding warehouse work and lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, climb, reach, and move materials throughout the workday.
- Reliable transportation, dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
- Able to follow directions, work safely, stay organized, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable operating or learning forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
- Must safely lift, carry, move, and organize heavy materials, tools, and equipment.
- Must follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free warehouse.
Nice To Haves
- Warehouse, construction, electrical material handling, forklift, inventory, shipping/receiving, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, stage, and organize inventory, tools, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
- Receive shipments, inspect deliveries, stock materials, and report damage or discrepancies.
- Pull, prepare, and deliver tools and materials for field crews accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized storage areas, tool rooms, shelves, racks, and warehouse workspaces.
- Assist with inventory counts, material tracking, and warehouse housekeeping.
- Operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
- Follow all instructions, safety policies, and material handling requirements.
