Warehouse Helper/Driver - (Future HVAC Tech)
About The Position
Altman Air Conditioning is looking for a reliable, hardworking Warehouse Helper / Driver to support our daily operations from the ground up. This position is the backbone of our field operations — you'll keep our warehouse organized, our trucks loaded, and our technicians equipped to get the job done. We are ideally looking for someone who has an interest in the HVAC trade and sees this role as a stepping stone toward becoming a Commercial A/C Technician. Several of our current full-time technicians started their careers in this exact position. Requirements
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Forklift experience [or willingness to be trained and certified]
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in outdoor Florida conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
- Interest in learning the HVAC trade and growing into a technician role
- Drug-free workplace — pre-employment and random drug screening required
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse, delivery, or construction experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and organize materials and equipment in the warehouse
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries; verify orders against packing slips and purchase orders
- Load company trucks with equipment and materials for delivery to commercial jobsites
- Drive company vehicles to deliver equipment and supplies to jobsites and transport old/removed equipment back to the shop or designated locations safely
- Work directly alongside HVAC technicians on-site as a helper — assisting with equipment handling, setup, and general labor as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Communicate with the team to coordinate daily deliveries and pickups
